The 9th edition of the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has officially launched its evaluation process in Colombo, marking the start of a multi-country journey to honor excellence in South Asian tourism and hospitality.
A distinguished jury panel of three members will assess Sri Lankan nominees from May 6th to 11th, before moving on to evaluate properties and services in Bengaluru, India. The evaluation process will continue across key South Asian cities, including New Delhi, Kathmandu, Paro, Dhaka, and Malé, ensuring broad regional representation and recognition.
Over the past eight years, SATA has established itself as a premier platform celebrating outstanding contributions to the tourism and hospitality sector in South Asia. The awards recognize excellence across a wide range of categories, from hotels and resorts to service providers and innovative tourism initiatives.
This year’s evaluations will culminate in the SATA 2025 Gala Ceremony, scheduled for September 19–20 in Negombo, Sri Lanka, where winners will be announced and honored among industry leaders, government representatives, and international media.
