Ibrahim Inaz, is a prominent personality in the field of human resources in the Maldives, who is widely recognized as the CEO of Jobsicle, the leading digital platform for job search in the Maldives. With an extensive background of 15 years in the hospitality industry, and to have introduced over 300 students to tourism industry through apprenticeship programs, Inaz has established himself as a prominent figure in the realm of HR. Hailing from a humble family residing in the rural island of Thaa Atoll Hirilandhoo, Inaz has experienced the challenges and hardships of life firsthand. Despite these obstacles, his unwavering dedication to continuous learning and personal growth has paved the way for his remarkable achievements and success today.

During our discussion with Inaz, we inquired about his motivations for joining Jobsicle despite being employed in the tourism industry for years. Inaz expressed a deep-seated fascination with human resources and its development. Recognizing the significant role recruitment plays in this field, he made the decision to join Jobsicle. His primary objective was to establish a robust digital recruitment platform that would enable the digitization of conventional recruitment procedures.

When we inquired Inaz about his perspective on why many people in the Maldives struggle to secure employment despite the numerous job openings available on Jobsicle each month, he attributed it primarily to a shortage of skilled individuals. Inaz emphasized the importance of assessing the gap in skills and addressing it through training programs and courses to tackle this issue. Additionally, he highlighted the necessity of providing training to unemployed locals who lack the necessary education for higher-level positions, focusing on job opportunities such as carpentry and electricians.

In conclusion, Inaz placed great emphasis on the significance of conducting awareness programs regarding the entire job application process. He highlighted that many Maldivians tend to apply for jobs that do not align with their skill level, often without thoroughly reading the job description.
